Delete your
account.
The fastest way to delete your account and everything tied to it is from inside the Fortify app. If you can't sign in, use the form below — we'll verify and complete the deletion within 7 days.
Delete from the app
Open Fortify → Settings → Delete my account. The app shows you exactly what will be removed (every check-in, journal entry, setback reflection, identity-work item, community post, accountability pair, mentorship history, and Resilience Score record) and asks you to re-enter your password to confirm.
Once confirmed, deletion is immediate and complete on our servers. The encrypted local database on your device is also wiped. There's no waiting period; your data is gone.
If you can't sign in
Submit the form below. We use the email address you registered with to verify the request. Allow up to 7 days for us to complete the deletion (we want to be sure the request is legitimate and not someone else trying to lock you out).
Submitting opens your email client with a pre-filled message to hello@fortify.app. If your device has no email client configured, email us directly with the same information.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your user id is removed via database CASCADE in a single transaction:
- Every check-in (mood, energy, sleep, triggers, coping notes)
- Every journal entry and setback reflection
- Every identity-work item — values, statements, goals, habit-replacement plans, if-then plans, environment audits, future-self letters, identity actions
- Every coping-tool log and panic-tool session
- Every lesson completion and Resilience Score history
- Your community posts, reactions, and cohort membership
- Your accountability pair, partner check-ins, and SOS history
- Your mentorship profile, matches, and chat messages
- Your push-notification tokens and device records
- Subscription metadata held in our database (the platform-level subscription itself is owned by Apple or Google — see subscription terms)
What survives
Two things, both required for legal/compliance reasons:
- Anonymous, aggregated telemetry — daily counts of crisis-dialog impressions/dismissals. These have no user_id; deleting your account doesn't change the totals because they were never tied to you. See the privacy policy for full detail.
- Anonymized server logs for up to 30 days (then auto-purged). These contain timestamps and request-shape data, not journal content.
Subscription cancellation is separate
Deleting your Fortify account does not cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription. Apple and Google own the billing relationship; you have to cancel through them. See the subscription terms for the exact steps.
